Hey guys,
Just wondering what you are all running for tire pressure on the street to get the best contact patch and get the longest life out of the tire.

depends on the truck, rim width, tires.

best advice i can give is you put a chalk line on tires and go fro a drive and see how it wears off if. its just the centers lower your pressure. or vice versa

Any tire I've ever run has been a happy, evenly worn tire at 35 psi. As stated earlier, pressure too high wears out the center of the tread. Too low wears the sides. Then of course your alignment needs to be right, but we're talking pressure.

I run my 33x12.5's at 20 lbs and that's still just a tad high. Use some chalk like has already been said. You should be able to chalk the tread from side to side and roll the truck back and forth in your driveway, you don't even really need to drive much.

I'll try the chalk thing.

but here are the specs anyway if it makes any difference.

1999 Supercab 4 door 4x4 4.0 manual
Flairside (fiberglass bed sides)
15x10 aluminum wheels
33x12.50x15 tires
2 are Pro Comp AT's
2 are BFG AT's
4" superlift

recently got new bearings both sides and alignment

Usually the jeep guys run theirs at 27.

I wouldn't run lower than 30 PSI regardless of the contact patch. Less than that kills your MPG and tread life (doesn't matter whether the treadwear is even or not).

Even tread wear is better maintained through proper tire rotations (every 5000 miles is usually a good interval).

I run 35 PSI front, 30 PSI rear on my Ranger's 33x12.50s (I'll bump the rears up to 35 PSI also if hauling a load some distance).

Based on my experience, 28 psi gives me the best comfort and handling when on road.
