I know our tire repair/wheel weight supplier has generic TPMS sensors. We have used them a couple times in a pinch. They worked just like the Ford ones. Not sure if they were cheaper or not.
The older band and sensor style were a lot more expensive than the new valve stem style ford is now using. Old style were about 120 a wheel for a band and sensor. The new valve stem ones are around 30 bucks.
