I know our tire repair/wheel weight supplier has generic TPMS sensors. We have used them a couple times in a pinch. They worked just like the Ford ones. Not sure if they were cheaper or not.

The older band and sensor style were a lot more expensive than the new valve stem style ford is now using. Old style were about 120 a wheel for a band and sensor. The new valve stem ones are around 30 bucks.

There also is no way that I have heard of to deactivate the tpms system. It's a mandatory system after 2006. Safety regulations and and that good stuff.

Sure there is. It's the same way I disable ABS systems on my own stuff.

It's called "take the fricking light bulb out".

Guys I work on this junk all day TPMS is Government Mandated BS. Kyd take your truck to the local tire dealer to check and reset your system. at work we normally charge $12.00 to reset TPMS. if you're annoyed by the TPMS I have to go to school every year to get up to date on it.

johnday go get sensors from a 3/4 or 1 ton truck of the same year and put them in your tires, this should take care of your problem provided the frequency is the same for the sensors. frequency is printed on the sensors.
