Tire help, got some new wheels and I need 2" clearance

i'm with this guy! its just a matter of time before you are gonna bend them up anyways!

also, check with bushwacker, i heard that they are disscontinued. but thats just what i heard, could be BS.

I tried the coil twist in kind but I still need about a half inch. Any posts on the best way to trim the fenders without having look all jacked up?

I'm going to try the washers tomorrow. Anybody know the max safest lift you can get with that?

Those twist in coil spacer things are J-U-N-K and dangerous to boot. You can stack a bunch of large flat washers but I was never big on that idea. I did coil spacers on my choptop and I used the F-150 spring perches. It was around $40 to get them new from Ford and even though it actually measures like 1.5", you get about 2" at the wheel because of the suspension geometry. Of course it will need aligned but with putting larger tires on you need one anyway. Or you can try running with the tires at full sidewall rated pressure to cheat for a lil while until you can get it aligned.

Kool, Yeah I figured out the twist in are junk as soon as I put them in! I'm taking them back first thing tomorrow! I saw the post on fender cutting, but it didn't explain what to do with the fender well plastic at the bottom where it meets the bottom of the fender. I could bend the end of the fender to make a new lip, but what a PIA! Cause I want to keep the plastic fender well in tact to keep the crap out of the engine compartment. I would like to run them without cutting the fenders right now. Anybody got a set of those f150 spring perches they want to sell?
