just purchases a 96 ranger standard cab 2wd, put on new hubs, bearings, pads shocks, tires ,had them balanced twice, and still shakes like wheels are way out of balance, sometimes it smooths uot , but not very often, is ther something common with these that causes this, it has 69000 miles

check the lug nuts for tightness! No this is not common, other items could be bad alignment, bad tie rod ends etc. Go get it aligned and see what they say.

bearing races might not have been seated all the way......shocks could be worn out....

like they said--- TRUSTWORTHY alignment shop

At what speed is the shaking going on? (Elvis....'Whole lot of Shaking going on')....lol

Could also be a bad driveshaft. Does it feel like only the front or back shaking, or just one side shaking? You could also have a bad tire or the tires need a better balance (highspeed balance). This happened to me once. The tire place put on another new tire and the shaking stopped. But it drove me crazy for a few days. The new tire was out of round (moulding issues from the factory) and it caused the shacking.

why I love Costco for tires... get a good warrenty and deal on the tires with roadside assistance.

but the best part free balancing and tire rotations for the life of the tires.
