Here is the back ground. I have an 84 ranger with an external slave cylinder, which I replaced 5 or so years ago. I had not driven the truck for nearly a year but before I stopped driving it the clutch master began to leak.

When I got into the truck last weekend the master cylinder was dry. I replaced the master cylinder but had a hard time getting all the air out of the slave cylinder.

Now in the year since I last drove the truck maybe the slave cylinder has gone bad and began pulling air, but lets pretend this is not the case. Does anyone have any advice on how to bleed the slave cylinder? The bleed hole and screw are at the back of it, so should the front of the truck be slightly lower than the front of the truck? I remember bleeding the slave cylinder being a pita when i last replaced it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You have to bench bleed it. The angle of the master prevents all the air from escaping.
