CAn anyone tell mewhere the timing mark should be lined up on the camshaft pulley for 1992 2.3 ranger I know the crank pulley is at TDC. I had no spark and believe I was 180 out on the crank. Need the help.

when you look at the front of the engine, the pointer should be at the 5 o'clock, on the gear there is a lil cast in triangle, and the cam alignment pin (under the bolt/washer) will be at the 6 oclock

you will have to pop the dizzy cap off and spin the rotor bug around by the gear in front of the engine till it lines up with the #1 spark plug wire.

Thanks for the info I got it alright now but I'm not getting any spark on the front coil pack

i had that problem try cleaning the prongs on the inside of the connector for the coil and the edis unit attached to the intake manifold. i was running on half the motor, cleaned the plug on the edis with qtips and contact cleaner (had green shit in it) and fired up like a whole new engine.

one of the coils dosen't fire upon start-up. unless the motor is running you only get spark from 1 coil pack.

also -bogus SVO- he has DIS no distributor for him.
