I got the rear end and new rear suspension in today. With it hanging back in the frame it will be a lot easier to take the backing plates off for sandblasting. I have to get new nuts for the front springs. I ordered a set from LMC but they are too small. Once I get those I can finish the front suspension.

The nuts came for the front springs today so when I got home I finished putting the springs in and installed the new bearings, seals, rotors, and calipers. I sandblasted the backing plates for the rear brakes and I have a couple of places to repair where the brake shoe ride against the plates. There are holes either rusted through, worn through, or a combination of both. Once I get that fixed, I will finish installing the rear brakes and differential cover. I still have to order the new brake lines but I should still be able to put the fuel tank and lines back in while I am waiting for them to get here.

I ordered some new backing plates. They should be here this week. I didn't get much time in the garage this weekend but I was able to get the steering box and the new tie rods in. I also ordered the parts I need to put the engine and transmission back in.

The parts I ordered were waiting for me when I got home tonight so I should have an update and some pics this weekend! I can't wait to set her back on to her wheels again.

The backing plates worked fine and I got everything back together. I think all that is left is to install the shocks. I was going to put it down on its wheels but it rained today so I decided to wait. Next is the brake lines, fuel lines, and gas tank.

I have been busy with school but it is almost out (three weeks) and then I can work on it full time. I will be cleaning the drivetrain before I reinstall it. I just wanted to give everyone an update and let you know that I'm still alive!

Found some time to pressure wash the engine and transmission today. Put in a new flywheel and clutch before I put the drivetrain back in. Almost time for the cab!

Progress is outstanding. Did you check the freeze plugs? It's a whole lot easier to replace them now, then when the body goes back on.

It's all good. Pressure washed and checked everything.
