Anyone know if I can put tilt steering from an automatic into a manual? Both are 1990 but the steering column does look different on the auto. I want to keep all of the parts from my truck (the manual)

The column will bolt in, but it generally looks nicer if you use a manual column anyway...

There is a slight wiring difference you'll need to deal with in the horn wiring.
You see tilt columns are always paired with cruise control and on cruise control
equipped vehicles the horn is controlled via a relay.

Read the EVTM if you don't have one get one, they are typically less than $20 on ebay.

Since I have both trucks what would be involved in taking the cruise off the parts truck and putting it on mine? Would it work since its automatic and what would I need to switch?

I haven't retrofitted cruise control to a Gen2 or Gen3 so at this point I'll say "I don't know"

Ask me the same question in 2-3 months and I'll probably have an answer for you.

I didn't bother with it, it looked like you would have to switch the columns. There was two bolts behind the steering wheel for tilt steering but it looked like you would have to use the column. I didn't really put too much effort into it though
