I believe that the shank that leads to the castle nut is tapered, so no I think you are out of luck

I also believe it's tapered. BUT, I've seen mention of a tapered repair sleeve in which you drill out the taper and insert the repair sleeve. Whether you can find one for your truck...?

Thats what i was worried about, i can live with it though, i have six inches of lift now but still only have a 4" pitman arm.

I'm not 100% sure if the Ruff Stuff inserts will fit with the RBV TRE, I think the depth might be just a hair too deep.

I would suggest reaming them/having them reamed from up top. The RBV taper is whatever the standard is (1.5" per foot I believe), you just need to make sure the depth is done correctly (tapered reamers can be purchased for about $70-80, might be worth getting one to have if you plan to be modding your vehicle for awhile).

Why do yo want to do this? Is your rig lifted? I mean if it's not lifted, you may screw-up the steering angles. If it is lifted you may no longer need the drop pitman arm.
I found tapered inserts at one of the classic bronco sites, Duff's maybe.......The inserts allow you to ream a bit deeper and get more contact between the TRE and Knuckle. If you ream too deep your screwed or would have to go to a larger TRE. I did two sets of Dana 44 knuckles like this with the chevy TRE's, conical inserts, weld-in inserts and DOM.

I am going to predict he is trying to get a 4" drop pitman to work with a 6" lift. :icon_thumby:
