i was reading the faq that ticking lifters can be mistaken for ticking fuel injection......how would i be able to check if it is the fuel injection? oil pressure is around 20psi on 1,000 rpm.

Thanks

engine will need to be running.

An old trick is to get a very long screw driver, or long rod (there is a stethoscope that one can purchased, easier on the ear)....place one end on the suspect noise maker...in your case maybe the injector , try to find a place with metal or near the base of the injector. Place the other end of the screw driver, & or rod on your ear. and listen.

then switch to the head and listen again....try to get close to top where the valve train is. then decide which was louder.

check all injectors and , check several areas along the head...maybe you have a picticular area that is worse than others

ok will try that today.....truck only does it every once in ahwile its not a everytime thing from start up
