Been using this site since I bought my ranger, finally had to join for my own question. I have an 88 ranger 2.9 5spd 4x4. I just changed the clutch and that is where the ticking started, I put probably over 1500 miles on it before I had to change it and never heard it in that time. It's driving me crazy trying to figure it out. Used all new parts, minus the flywheel which was clean and flat. I didn't lose any fluid. I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
