Is there any way I can determine which length acellerator cable I need? Mine snapped last night, none of the auto parts stores can tell me which one I have, and it's being a PITA to get off the firewall.

If there's already a thread about this, please drop a link here, and I'll del this one.

Thanks,
Jay

Actually, the length of the cable is not so important because they are spring loaded...I used one from the 78 Mustang that was about five inches shorter than the original cable...it's just a matter of it being not too short...so measure the distance from the firewall to the TB and add about three inches...when they show you the part, measure it and if it's too short tell them you don't want it...

Better yet...just go to a junkyard and pick one up for a few bucks...spray it down with some WD-40 or similar and install it...

Follow-Up: I got one new from LMC Truck. Also realised that I put 88 instead of 86. Thanks for the reply, Mark_88. :)

You're welcome...good to hear you found one...:icon_thumby:
