Did everyone use a stock throttle cable with the swap?, With the carb setup, didnt have the thottle cable hooked up to the carb but it seemed to bind when i pushed the pedel in because i have to twist the cable in like a u to get it in position right

83-85 Mustang GT 5.0 cable is what you want. I bought mine at the local dealer.

I used the stock cable is several V8 swaps w/o issue.

I used one from a 84 BII with a 2.8. The old carbed RBVs are a near perfect fit cable. If I recall I did have to use the other hole in the firewall, that hole might not be there on a newer than 88 Ranger.

I've kept my original 83 2.3 Ranger cable to fit my 5.0L EFI(full size intake)

depends on what intake is being used.

Stock cable on both my '83 Ranger and my '93 explorer. Worked great. Only had to fab a new bracket to relocate the pull point back about .5 inch.
