09 Ranger, there is a three wire connector attached to the seatbelt retractor, on the passenger side. The connector has been tore off leaving three wires, red, white and bare/gnd and different colours on the male connector end still attached. With it broken the airbag light stays on, so looking to repair it but need to know which colours connect together

I don't have a manual or a wiring diagram, but if the 2007 is the same I could go look at it..... did you look through the tech library here for wiring diagram?
what colors do you have? and no scrap of insulation left on the connector to match up any colors?

thanks for the reply, I did a bit more research and it looks like it is the pre-tensioner. I will pull the panel right off to get better light as it looks like a blue stripe wire which doesn't make sense for the Red and white that is on the belt side. From a parts photo it looks like when looking at the belt side it is bare, white red (it is a horizontal connector so red to the outside of the cab, white in the middle and bare towards driver side)

ahhh from the title I was thinking you were talking about the socket for the rear seatbelt (which is also in the door)... you are talking about the front seat main belt (which unfortunately is in the door) - I can see the wire for both (with the rubber filler panel pulled aside), but can't really tell any colors as mine are intact with a sheathing... just went and checked, might be able to tell more by removing all the interior trim... which looks like a heck of a job.
