Thoughts on exhaust?

theres no way you could ever compare a 2.9 to a v8 sound.

I used to have a thrush glasspack on mine, it idles lumpy when it is cold out and sounded like a darn tough V-8... step on the gas and in quickly merges into a p-ed off weedwacker.

My truck sounded the best with a turbo muffler, has a little bit of a sporty note to it kind of like a stock Mustang GT but it isn't overbearing.

BTW I have no cat... well I do have a black and white one but he doesn't have anything to do with my exhaust.

ya a glasspack at low rmps would sound good but as soon as you hit the gas

Whatever you do, don't put that glasspack shit on it. If u do, ur gonna have all the Honda civic's tryin to race you at every red light. Get a chambered muffler, or, if u want a badass exhaust system, get a magnaflow dual exhaust kit, My buddy's 3.0 L ranger sounds good, Its not as loud as flowmasters or glasspacks, but it does sound good, I have a exhaust system that I welded up myself, I got a 2 1/2 inch head pipe running into a (2 1/2 inch inlet / Dual 2.25 inch outlets) Flowmaster super 44 series muffler, with 2.25 inch pipes all the down to the 3 inch tips, It sounds pretty good, but it can get annoyingly loud when going highway speeds. Other than that, its a pretty decent sounding exhaust system.

well i got the glasspack on there and its decent sounding dont get ricy unless i really lay my foot into it

o Ok, thats good then, I mean, the only glasspacks ive heard were on little ass Honda's and shit like that. I just imagined they wuld sound like shit on v6's too. Does it resonate at idle?
