A Bronco II spare tire carrier on a Ranger. It'd be awesome.

How hard can it be?

its been done.. people on here have done it before, i've seen pics

not recommended b/c you're holding the weight of the spare on the body sheet metal. so a bumper w/ swing out is more preferred. the weight of a 35 or 37" spare is a good bit to be flexing on a ranger bedside.

It would only be a 31" tire and Mazda aluminum wheel.

'Taint too bad.

And the way I've been beating on my Ranger's bed, I think it's a lot stronger than you think.

one guy on here(? maybe a different site) actually tore the side of his bed off, b/c of the way it was flexing under the weight of a 33.

but your idea is very doable. just make sure to plate the inside of the bed where it mounts and reinforce it as much as you can think of.. between the weight and the flex, its hard on a bed.. just the weight might now hurt it-- but think about that weight acting as leverage on flexes.

Do a search, Bro. This has been posted a few times already. I did it to my 83 Ranger many years ago. It looked great and fit great. I had to fab it up a bit to make it a perfect fit, but it came out great. I used one from an 87 BII.

Got any pics?
