This thingy made me laugh

I don't know what to think about that.

Besides that, I don't see much bad about it really. It just seems half-assed.

I'm not getting one.

My thoughts exactly, half-assed. Unfortunately , it's the half-assed ideas that get people hurt and in trouble.

anyone check out the price? $600 bucks for a trailer tire and a hitch? the dually one was like$1200. these are awesome! now i can tow a 55ft fifth wheel with a taurus!

I'd rather spend my cash on air bags for the rear axle that waist money on that junk. You have a set on our Excursion and they work like a dream.

And I went and bought a F-350 dually for hauling heavy loads. CRAP for 17000 dollars less I could have pulled anything with my old 3/4 ton........

You could have forgotten the 3/4 ton and just used your Ranger.

Hey guys

Back in the fiftys lots of house trailers had a similiar wheel thingy under the tongue.. Back then house trailers were pulled mostly with automobiles and the back springs couldn't take the load.
Big Jim:nono:

Try this on for size.

For the person who wants a fifth wheel trailer and decided, like a fool, to buy an explorer instead of a one ton truck.

LOL

This is the same thing, just came with the trailer. I guess this is from back when you used a car for everything.

A tow dolly is a 5th wheel. So is that. There's a kingpin in the center of the axle and the hitch and wheels move as a unit, rotating under the trailer above. It's the same exact reasoning--using an extra set of tires to support a load that you don't want on your tow vehicle.

Hey come on now guys these ideas are not so bad. I am thinking of adding a 4 cyl diesel bio fueled engine to that toad one and save the ranger engine. 40 MPG while towing! OOOh yeah!

The tow dollies we sell at work are a newer design.

The platform stays still and the wheels turn and are connected with a tie-rod similar to a solid axle vehicle.

When not towing they give you a pin to lock the wheels straight, otherwise the dolly likes to jump over to the next lane.
