So im driving down an icy ass road and I spin out into a snow bank. It was really weird, like more uncontrolled then any time I had ever spun out. So I get out and my tire is laying beside my truck, even worse it hit my taillight, and the tow truck said 6 or more hours.

do you know what failed?

My ability to read a torque wrench.

bummer. so why wait to get it towed if all you need is to jack it back up and put it together?

Well it was halfway in the road and its a free tow through aaa, and its -18 windchill. but I said screw it, if its a 6 hour wait I'll do it myself. So we just pulled it off the road with my buddies truck.

They must have only been on there finger tight if they call came off before giving you any warning.

I he put over 1k miles on it since I have worked on it. It has been wobblling a lil, but I figured it was sno in the rims. I was driving down a really bad road, like worse then most 2 tracks I've been on.

I was booking down a high traffic gravel road one day and I felt like I had a blowout, except there was not noise.....

As I began to apply my brakes my left rear tire passed my truck..... rolled down the road at speed, and went and hid under a log 60 ft into the woods.

fun times, again, the lugnut issue, except I was at the tire shop THE DAY BEFORE, i had not even put on 200km. I needed some new drum brake springs because the drum came off too. but whateve. interesting experience.

200km?

HA ha...

How fer is that thar 200km?

Broke a bead once on a trail ride after slydin sideways into a ditch and didn't know it for a fer minuets cuz the trail was so ruff an uneven, when I stopped to check, the tire had rolled back onto the rim.
I couldn't find any damage so I air'd up from my on-board SCUBA tank and kepon goin. :D

i had one front brake rotor that had a broken lug, so i had been driving it on only 4 till i could steal a rotor from my other truck. one day i noticed it got really squirrelly really quick, so i stopped to check it and 3 other lugs had broken off. there was only one holding the wheel on and it was working its self loose. i fixed it in a school parking lot at 10 at night.
