You're right, it's been asked. If the Ranger has a 2.9 or 4.0 then yes.
 
never herd this one yepers it will fit no prob but its

yes it will fit but it is a major pain in the ass unless you have a, a body lift or b, a truck lift
 
Yes, it will fit in place, but what about the torque converter? Is it for a '91 with a 4.0 or a 2.9? 2.9 to 4.0 converters had internal differences, and I wouldn't mix n match from one tranny to another. A4LD's are finnicky enough........

Nope, both are 4.0 4wd auto. I was told there is a lenght difference, but Im gonna trust the People who know rangers best before i trust some mechanic.(my dad didn't know some guy told him that they were different)
Also, I have access to a lift,(my school
has 2) and i might do a bl anyways...:icon_thumby:
