this is sweet

I'd own/build one... infact, I'd like more info as to how to go about it.

thats sweet. i thought they were real till i heard them

after watching this and thinking about it for awhile, i decided that i must have one. anyone else get the RC rock crawling bug?

Yep, I got bit by the bug too. This is the closest thing to a wheeling rig I still have room in the driveway for :)

Crawling for REALLY REALLY RICH kids maybe! Haha! There are guys who have more into their R/C crawlers than I just bought my Ranger for. Lol. No joke. Check out rccrawler.com. There are some really talented guys building trucks on there. I have seen some that look more real than some real trucks. Haha! I only have about 350 or so into mine (don't want to actually count receipts as I don't want my wife to have to kill me!), and it is not NEARLY what the ones in the video are. lol. It will do some damage once I get a metal geared steering servo in it though. No body right now as that is another 50 bucks or so that I am not willing to spend on it yet.

That's pretty cool.

this is my favorite looking truck.

then upgrade it as i learn more since i dont know what im doing yet

Yup! That Axial RTR is a good choice Daniel. If only they would have made a dedicated rock crawler kit or RTR when I got into it. AAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!! lol. R/C Rock crawling is finally becoming slightly more main stream in the R/C community and companies are starting to put out stuff dedicated to us rock crawlers. When I started I boughtone of these guys. They had just come out with the 4x4 version that week. I bought it not intending to go rock crawler on it, but really, how long can you do wheelies across the yard before you get bored? Haha! So, I chopped it up, relocated the servo over the axle to lower the weight, dropped in different gears and a high turn motor for a max speed now thats a little slower than a slow walk. Haha! But it has some serious torque! Built a custom chassis out of a 2 dollar Walmart cutting board and some 1/8 inch aluminum sheet. Its alright now, just needs some fine tuning and a stronger servo. Good luck on whatever you get, but beware, it gets expensive fast!
