This is amazing!

seems like alot i worked at lowes while i was laid off and you could get a kobolt truck box for around 300 depends on if you want crome or black, single lid or double

is that supposed to be a lot or a little? cause everything i find is around that price...

You can buy single lid tool boxes at Advance Auto Parts for $250 regular price. A couple of the truck accessory places around here sell them for $235.
Why pay freight shipping of $100 when all the auto parts stores can get them way cheaper.
For $445 I would expect the cotton picking thing to be made out of stainless steel.

Craigslist is your friend.

You can get a mint one for ~$100.

I got mine, full of tools, for $100 and it looks brand new. It's also one of the higher end models with highly polished finish and a very nice tray in it.

This is actually my 3rd tool box on this truck.

My first one I got in a trade with a friend. Took it off and sold it to run a camper top (bought top for $100, sold for $250). Bought a second one on craigslist for $115 that was actually designed for a quad cab truck (had notched corners to clear the wheelwells). Ran it for a bit until I found the one I have now. Then sold the quad cab model for $150.

Deals are out there. Be patient, watch craigslist regularly, and the deal will materialize :icon_thumby:

i have a pretty big plastic box for my bed and i just got a roll bar for it and now i can't open the box with the roll bar so i have to either build a roll bar and sell the other one or reweld the legs to a different place to make room for the box!!

i agree, i paid 150 for mine on craigslist. They guy wanted 350 for it, i offered him 100, he said no, a week later he called me back and said 150 and its yours! but then again, how many people were hot for a tool box for a flairside ranger besides me!
