2002 ford Ranger .. 4.0 with about 80 thousand Miles .. 5 speed standard shift .. Heres the story
My wife got up to go to work and started the ranger .. Only to discover it wouldent go into gear .. so after puting some dot3 Brake fluid in the slave ( wasent complely dry) .. and backing it up and down the driveway a few times it started shifting .. But it was a little rought to shift .. so we thought its got air in the slave cylender
.. so we bled it .. makeing sure to look for leaks and not leting the little master run dry .. Now the starter wont engage ,, How in the world would bleeding the slave cause the starter Not to turn over ?? I bought a new clutch neutral switch .. But dont have it installed yet ... so my question is .. would the neutral switch cause this ? Or does anyone have any Ideals what might .. Keep in mind it started like a champ before we bled the slave Cylender..
Thanks so much for any replys and Ideals
