I have a cap on the back of my truck now (2003 FX4) and I'm wondering is there somewhere I can tap into the third brake light wiring? I've been searching the wonderful world of the interwebs with no luck.

I have an idea for a wiring project, but I would like to be able to make the brake light in the cap work properly first!

Thanks

Remove the battery junction (fuse box) under the hood. Undo the bolts that hold it and move it to the side. In the harness underneath it there should be a dead-ended wire with a shrink tube cap on it. This is a power feed from the brake pedal switch for just this purpose. Run a wire to the back from here and you're good to go!
