Hey, easy, easy! It's not about "I told you so's" and all that. Just leave the guy alone for a bit, it's his truck to do what he pleases. Go tell that to C-Note who SAS'd his 2002. That's a nice truck, too. Or Scotty J. who recently got a bent up front quarter panel on his oh-so-clean '02 4x4. Things happen, it's his truck to drive and make his mistakes in. If he keeps it, it's not going to be his last! Around here it's run what ya brung, and he brung an 05 2WD. Sorry, I'm not trying to offend you or anything, I'm just stating my opinion just as you did. Rant over.
And Scott, don't worry about it buddy. You've got to respect your parents wishes in this case. They are, after all, your parents and if you respect them they will in turn respect you. We've all been there with our trucks, man. Heck, my parents threatened to sell my Explorer out from under me when I was taking forever to do the 351 in it, and they got tired of it taking my mom's space in the garage. So I moved it outside... in the winter!

But they appreciated it, and even helped fund the swap in the end. It's a give and take man, it happens. But don't go sell your truck... and if you do, well that's your choice. Although, the way I see it, you're just going to be using that money to pay off your truck anyway, and then only have a couple grand or so left to spend on a vehicle. Like I said, it's your choice. But I've told you my opinion... granted, I'm biased. I love Rangers!
