I am thinkin about getting another B2 or ranger ever since i sold my lifted B2 about 4 months back. I was thinking about getting another B2 then doing the 4.0 swap But I also like rangers just as much I was also thinking about getting a 92 ranger with a 4.0 either auto or stick (would prefer stick) And then just lifting it and doing what i wanted. Im not sure how much the 92's sell for with a 4.0 in them already but I found a guy about 2 hours from me that has a 92 4.0 stick extanded cab short bed its not lifted and its 1 owner hes in his 60's. It has 140k on it and he has reciepts since it was new for everything hes done to it inside and out its in 100pct shape and he had it painted 10months ago. But he was wants 3k for it. Now if I was looking for an immaculate truck to just drive and not take out in the woods like once a month and do some trail rides then id lean more towards this one but if this is the going rate on these trucks with the 4.0s i think I might just go for it I need some opions or should I just wait a couple more weeks and see if i can find another one thats cheaper and in not as great as shape?

I don't now how much this helps but I bought my 4x4 1992 4.0 5 speed for 700. It needed a decent amount of work right out of the box. So I'd say it probably cost me another 400-500 or so to get it in good running condition.

It's hard to find a one-owner truck in that condition, especially as a Super Cab with the 4.0 and 5-speed. I know that they can be found a lot cheaper, in lesser shape, but a nice, cherry original truck like that would be worth that much, to me anyway. Good luck, whichever way you go.

I bought my 1991 Explorer Sport 4.0l 5-speed for $700, spent $100 on tuneup items and drive it everywhere and get 18mpg... It does have some quirks (have to close the driver side door with the lockermajigger as there is no handle on the inside), but it's perfect for what I need it for... I think you could do better than $3k...
