Hello everyone I have a 94 B4000 that I bout about a year ago to take to the mountain and beat the crap out of. witch I did indeed to haha. anyway my first question is it to run the v6 with open headers because due to doing a new clutch system ( slave and master) I cut the y pipe out right after each o2 sensor. with isn't much considering I was still running it open headers before that. anyway. the truck starts then you can drive it but when you first start driving it has nooo power and if you go over 1/2 throttle it almost bogs out hbut more so just kinda stays at the same rpm while struggling. after it warms up it does a little better. the ther hing is it sounds like its running on about half the motor at time as you can her a reall loud hollow popping noise almoist at times when yuour idleing. and sugjetions would be nice but im sure ill have to end up pulling tho motor now to do a head job or much more. ive proudly beat the ****ing piss outta this origanlay 800$ truck. now I have a 500$ remaned junkyard rear end. ass well as 200$ for the pre bled master and the slave. I also replaced the front axle shafts and wheel bearing on the front due to completely snapping the u joint off one

Try putting an exhaust on it. You are probably exposing the oxygen sensors to fresh air having them that close to the end of the pipe. That will cause all sorts of problems.

I agree with adsm08. I just went thru this with my truck. The previous owner cut the y-pipe off to change the tranny and used flex pipe to fix it. After the flexpipe rotted off I had the same problems as you. A new y-pipe wasn't too expensive, and I welded up the rest of the exhaust myself.

thanks for the advise guys. I sold it yesterday and bought an 84 Jeep cherokee in its place LMFAO
