A couple weeks ago I had to change the thermostat out on my truck while flushing the cooling system, today when cleaning the garage I found the receipt and realized it said 180. My question is will it hurt my truck to leave it in there or should I switch it out to a 195? I just don't want to have to get a new gasket and bleed the cooling system for nothing. And if it helps the truck is running in mostly hot weather down here in sunny Florida

won't hurt anything. might reduce fuel mileage by a small amount

You're not going to gain anything running a cooler stat and running on rich side of mixture is not good for CAT, plugs, oil, gas mileage.

The 180 t-stat is usually used to reduce or cure pinging issues. If your truck didn't ping w/the 195, then I'd recommend running the 195.

Most people that have actually run a 180* T-stat in their Rangers report that they get slightly better mileage and a bit more power, and on top of that a cooler engine is a longer lasting engine.
