Hey, All!
Am in the process of piecing together an electric fan setup for my '94 2.3l Ranger. I want a setup with a fan switch, and not a probe/rheostat unit. So, I need a port for a radiator fan switch.
I've found some thermostat housings online that have sensor ports brazed on the heater nipple/outlet on the thermostat housing. My '94 doesn't have this port in it's thermostat housing. I'm guessing later models have these??? Rock Auto has 2 units with these sensor ports. One is a Motorcraft RH111 look alike for only $27. In order to see if I can find a fan switch to fit this port, would anyone know the thread size? Is it 3/8-18 npt, by any chance?
Thanks,
Jimmie

Idk about that particular one, but I can tell you a very easy way to do this. Go to a scrap yard, find a 91-93 4cyl mustang, and rob the coolant temp sensor housing out of the heater core line. I don't know what other years this may be in, but it is for sure in the 91-93 mustang 2.3. Probably get it for $5

Very Cool!!! An even cheaper option!!!! Thanks very much, Mikel89us!!!

No problem, I only know this because of the fact I have a 91 mustang.
