the winch bumper build

Yeah I don't think 94's have any airbags. My 94 Limited Explorer with all the bells and whistles doesn't have air bags:icon_thumby:

mine is basic, manual everything, but thats how i wanted it. so there def wouldnt be airbags

Looks great good work. Is that a miller 211 your using? I have a 211 with the aluminum spool gun and I love that thing.

it does not have airbags.

That's good! I wasn't sure due to the year. It still changed the energy management system (crumple zones) but it isn't as big a deal without airbags. Anytime you see convulusions like that in a rail and the diamond shaped holes it is a designed crumple zone. Per Ford "any" damage in this area requires replacement. They sell a replacement "section" that replaces that section of both rails abouth 12" beyond the crumple zones, I believe it sections in around the 2 front perches for the core support. The crumple zones are designed to crumple or crush in a controlled way to absobe collision energy and direct it away from the passenger compartment.

This is a sick bumper and well organized thread. You put a lot of time into this build and it definetely shows.
