The Time Has Finally Come for SVT

Well, after Jay left around 5pm, I stayed in the garage til almost 11pm, but I got a lot done....I have the radiator figured out, was able to move it adn the condensor forward to gain almost an inch without cutting, got the intake back on and all the wiring done, got most of the vacuum lines done, got the fuel lines done, and got the motor mounts bolted down. I think I may have figured out the oil filter connecting to the block problem, will work on that today. Once I have that done, she should be ready for a first start:yahoo: I'm still waiting on a few parts from the hose shop, and my new cooling fans and braided lines to get here, after that she'll be ready for a first test drive:icon_surprised:

Man, you're quick!

Man, you're quick!

Thats what she said!!...Lol, btw Paul, I sent out the resevior either monday or tuesday, so you should get it around friday....I'll send pics when I take em soon, I have some now, but no closeups...I'll go through what I have so far and see...
Didn't get much done today, worked mostly on Jay's truck today...I did get my passenger front fender cut today though, and fixing my lower radiator mounts as I tried to get greedy with getting more clearance, so I'm going back to the way I originally had it set up....Plan on getting the oil filtering plumbing done tomorrow, then I got to put in an explorer axle in Jay's truck, I just got finished installing a set of 513's in it to go in his truck, either this week or next I'll install the 513's I had for my 44 that I was going to use...I'm going deeper :icon_surprised:so I sold him my gears...

Okay, I got the oil fitering problem solved today, but when I went to install the adapter, I found out the clearance is so tight that I need to lift up the motor and possibly take off the motor mount plate just to install the adapter....Soooo it'll be another day til the oil lines are plumbed....The rest of today was spent on Jay's truck and servicing my car trailer as its going on a long haul this weekend...
SVT

Well without Jay at my shop I actually got a lot done...and on my truck, instead of his:icon_rofl:
Anyways, I got the oil filter adapter on, had to lift the motor up, and take the motor mount plate off...I also got the dual filter base mounted and plumbed, I mounted it to a bumper support bracket...It's temporary til I build my new bumper and new mounting plate for the plethora of filters I have....I got the rear driveshaft flange changed as the V8 Tcase uses a 1330 and my shaft had a 1310...Funny thing is, is when I did my one piece dshaft conversion, it was already 1330, so I had to get a 1310-1330 conversion joint and run my old flange, but I kept the original flange from the one piece just in case...Good thing I did that:icon_thumby: So I got that done and installed, Dshaft length is right on with motor placement:icon_thumby: If I would have come back another inch like I planned for more radiator clearance, I would be cutting my Dshaft...I got my new trans Xmember in, but I need to mod it more cause its in the way of the front Dshaft...Would be perfect for my lowrider, so I might make another one and keep it for my other ranger....Its super strong but also lightweight...Got the shifter linkage hooked up, trans cooler and custom tranny cooler lines ran (AKA Stainless Steel Braided from the trans to the core support) and mounted, literally squeezed between the condensor and the core support. I also drilled and tapped the thermostat housing for my mechanical water temp sending unit... All I have left is to but the battery in, hook up the new battery cables to the solenoid, install the AC lines and power steering lines when I get them from the hydraulic hose shop, and install my E-fans when they come in from Summit Racing...Should be starting it this weekend:yahoo:

I would love to be there to see the grin on your ugly mug when you first crank it!
I hope to get back on mine this weekend......3 days off baby!

Well Chad, your in luck :icon_thumby: I plan to start it Sunday!!
SVT

Well, I got the battery in, battery wires ran and hooked up, got the oil pressure lines hooked up for the mechanical gauges, everything is ready to fire her up for the first time....I promised the g/f that I'd wait for her to get here to start her up, so now I got to wait til 7 tonight:annoyed: But, I spent the rest of yesterday getting the fender cutting and new flares installed, got the factory tranny X-member back in so I can hook up the front driveshaft and I'll just fab a new X-member when I do my SAS and incorporate it into my RA mounts, which will be in a couple weeks hopefully...I'll take a video of the first startup, I can't wait!!!:yahoo:
SVT

Need to get some fuel in the morning, I looked at the gauge this afternoon and it read "FEED ME!!" So, I'll be getting her some go-go juice in the morning and starting her up then:icon_thumby:
SVT

SHE LIVES!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
She pretty much started on the first try once the engine got fuel. She has a rough idle, but thats cause there is no exhaust on it so there is no readings going through the 4 oxygen sensors...Here is a sample of the power to come!!

SVT

Link doesnt work............Your not faking it are you?!!!??
Fix the link so I can hear the freakin thing!

It does work, go next door, your computer doesn't work!! :icon_rofl:
SVT

I need to get the exhaust on so I can have the O2 sensors working, and I might have a vacuum leak since I don't have the charcoal canister hooked up yet, got great oil pressure, and no leaks so far :yahoo:Hopfully the rest of the parts will come next week, and I need to research a lower radiator hose that I can use...After that it'll be time for a test drive then off to the exhaust shop to get this beast breathing quitely....well, somewhat quieter!!
