So I picked up a 302 that's rebuilt with about 300hp. For now I want to mate it with my stock 5 speed (1993 3.0). Now I know this is not recommended but it'll be temporary (only a few months). So do I need a new bell housing (if so a link to where to buy would be appreciated) or will it just bolt to the 302 (out of 91 Mustang). The motor is all built, so all I would need is a clutch and radiator. Hoping to do swap within a couple months from now.

The 3.slow will not bolt up to a 302. The bell housing is completely different. Get a 4R70W and call it a day.

Or a c4 since your using mustang parts

C4 has nothing to do with a '91 Mustang.

For anything that sees much road time I would avoid a non OD trans

No way in hell would I put an automatic in it. It's a manual now and it's gonna stay one, automatics ruin the driving experience for me and I wouldn't even consider one.

97+ f150 manual trans from either a 5.0 f150 or i believe a 4.2 v6 also

If your truck was a 4 cyl it will bolt to the 302. You need a different pilot bearing.

a stock 93 4 cyl trans?

though he said it was a 3.0....which is a no as well unless you make a plate.

use a real transmission in any event with 300 hp on the menu

Oh I completely missed that. Yeah that won't work at all then, and I believe those m5od trannys have the bell cast into them, so its not like you could swap the bell for a 4 cyl one. I would say get a manual trans from a f150 with a 5 speed and get the driveshafts modded to fit.
