So who knows what about it? I've read a little here and there but couldn't find alot of info besides apu /CPU and a 500 gig HD. Ussualley I wait for awhile before I buy the new system but its only 400$ and seems to have the ps3 base line with better hardware.

I know xbox has lost alot of life time xbox fans to ps4 due to the dmrs they were planning to put on all the xbox games

Digital rights management or something like that. I am not sure what the s is for.

I got burned by that crap bad with my Zune, I had a bunch of music but when I got a new computer it wouldn't transfer over because although I was signed into my account I didn't have the rights to posses it. The little indian chick on the helpline knew even less about what was going on than she did the English language. The whole thing was nothing but a PITA and I got nowhere.

Basically once you buy a game it is yours forever and you can never share or sell it. Which means you can also never buy a used game for a discounted price. Microsoft would have a complete monopoly on the market, you couldn't borrow a game from a friend, if you wanted to play it you would have to shell out whatever they think it is worth and hope you like it. To add insult to injury it is not backwards compatatable with the xbox or 360 games.

I am basically not seeing too much to really motivate me to replace my 360 for a while...

gotcha, yeah fuk that shit. they'll lose me as a customer for sure (and i bet a lot of other folks). i wouldnt buy a new system when they first come out though. too much money and you know they will come down eventually. i dont play my current xbox to enough to justify replacing it with even a used one if it were to break.

They did away with about 90% of that stuff, which in turn ruined a lot of neat features they had planned for it. Either one will be a nice upgrade from either the ps3/360.

Xbox also used to require their little headset thingy plugged in that could do video of your room. There was a lot of suspicion of it knowing when you were in the room, looking at the TC or left while ads where on, or if you plugged in a movie to watch it could tell how many people were in the room and stop your movie if it felt there were too many.

Thankfully they've recently backpedled and said that devise also wouldn't HAVE to be always on.

Better RAM, Less legal mumbo-jumbo, $100 less in price, Similar processors, PS4 is the way to go.

I rarely use my xbox now and if I ever did get another one I won't buy one with the features they where planning on implementing. Now if what if its true they are doing away with the drm's and camera requirements I would consider buying it next year after the price goes down.

I'm a fan of xbox live, I know PS lovers are all about the free ps network but live has always been reliable. Where as I've heard the ps network can have issues from time to time. Microsoft is also big on bringing the ban hammer to hackers that attempt to back door games.

Halo 1 was the best, the rest had short crappy story lines and where catered to the online crowd.

I am a sports game player. I love the Madden and NBA Live series games. I think those games have always been geared towards the PS consoles.

Posting from the Galaxy.

They all have kinda weak storylines, I enjoy them all though. I actually prefer the ones without the flood...

That would be why I would stay with xbox instead of PS... and why I swtiched from a PS2 to a 360 in the first place.

The drm stuff has always been standard with software including consoles. They just never implemented the ability to enforce it. Ea tried when you required a code to use the online content. There is no guarantee that Sony won't try the same later. They are one of the biggest supporters of drm. Honestly decide which console will most likely have the better games you prefer, and features you like.

There will likely be ways around any drm implemented, but depends what you value most, the games and features or being able to sell back/trade/buy used games. I'm sure Sony will eventually.move that way too and it would only take an update. Nothing is for sure.
