Don't belive me? Here's an article from Jalopnik.com:

According to them, it's going to be closer to the Ford Flex that the Ranger. It's being turned into the biggest lady's vehicle since the VW Cabrio!!!! Oh yeah, the fron't end is butt ugly too. ;brownbag;

Ford's yanking the balls out the Explorer! Thank god the Ranger still has cajone's!

Inflatable safety belts. I wonder if they will start putting in oxygen masks and floation seats in too.

Ohh, and the new Explorer does not look pretty either.

I hope you guys realize that the picture at the top is not the new explorer but a concept.

the Ranger will be next. If they can't recognize the need for a less than full size but still capable SUV, they are unlikely to recognize the need for a less than full size and still capable truck.

2014 Ranger = Ford's version of a Subaru Brat. (I have nothing whatsoever to back that up, just speculation). Assuming they don't discontinue it altogether.

it really sucks but the epa makes the car company's do this stands to some degree. The standard for gas millage get tougher and tougher.

The only thing that I see that turd "exploring" is the dealers lots, as they get rejected, en mass.

Oh, and "X"s haven't had any REAL balls since 94, when the crappy Chevy wanna be IFS debuted. V8 not withstanding, of course.

:rolleyes: Exactly what is so crappy about SLA suspension? Obviously TTB is better for off-roading, which about 5% of Explorers owners do. SLA is far better for what the other 95% of people do. And the current Explorer with IRS is the best one yet. My uncle's 06 Explorer is leaps and bounds better than my 94. Better ride quality, handling, power, overall build quality and comfort, just simply better in every way.

Soooo, they're going to build another escape? excpet with a catface. I'm guessing 10 years from now every vehicle will evolve into a fwd crossover. I'm not worried. not like I can afford any of these cars anyway.
