I won a poker tourn'y a few weekends back and splurged on a eBay tire groover. Why not? My wheeling buddy is on a bread-crumbs student budget and his tires desperately need to be knarlier. And I think it would be fun to knarlify my TSL's.
The groover came with 1/4" wide tips, and I ordered some 1/2" wide ones. When I got it I figured why even fool around with those mame'b'y pam'b'y 1/4" tips and I dove in with the 1/2" tip. WOW CAN YOU DO SOME DAMAGE. You can radically change your tires with these things.
After seeing how dramatic my new tool was, I decided I had better sit down and figure out something that I will be happy with!! Through the magic of the interweb I acquired this graphic
And am in paint marking out test patterns till I find something I really like.
Anybody else got some cool tire grooving results they care to share?
