The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Build

Thanks man. I am going to look at a truck tomorrow afternoon, I have high hopes.

Dude, I think my friend has the same bike as in your avatar only with a motor on it.

Just got word from the insurance company, I'm keeping the truck. They're giving me $100 less than if they would have taken it away forever. I need a running donor in central Pa. Who's got a truck??????

I'd sell mine if i didn't love it so much! lol but yea I see your in central PA, I'm right below Lancaster, PA myself

Yea it looks about the same frame. I custom built mine from the frame out the only thing still stock is the rear brakes. His would be interesting to ride, is it a full custom set up or is it a kit?

Good luck with the look over.

Motorized bike is a kit with a few mods. He claims speeds of 40 MPH.

Update on my project: Truck I looked at Friday was a 2.3, oil soaked nightmare. I don't know who did his fresh inspection, but I sure wouldn't have put a sticker on it.

I'm Back Bitches!

I went out yesterday and bought a truck I found a few hours away. Man these first gens are getting hard to find! Anyway, I pulled the new truck off the trailer yesterday and got to work today. If you're gonna build 'em up, you gotta tear 'em down.

WOOT! glad to see ya back at it!

did you ever find the source of the fire?

Nice man glad to see you getting back to work. Are going to keep anything from the old truck or are you just going to do a complete rebuild?

Thanks guys, great to be back! I did find the wire where the short occurred but I'm not sure what it was connected to, maybe the horn, hard to tell with all of melting burnt crap under the hood. I will indeed be using a great deal of parts from my original build. Oddly enough I wanted to do some things differently to the front of the truck, so I'm going to use some more creativity up front. I have some new ideas, I'm excited about.

Well guys, I got to work on the frame today, here it is in primer. Lots of work to do...

Great! Thanks man.

Just found your thread and the truck looked awesome. Sorry about the fire, but I can't wait to see the new and improved version. I love the way you did the tailgate, it looks a lot like the way I did mine. I just wish I could have shaved mine in the process. Also, I would love to see some more pics of the roll pan.

any updates? I loved the first one, and am curious to see what you do to the second ranger :)
