The Flywheel Only Goes On One Way?

I thought I saw someone post that the flywheel/flexplate on the 4.0L can only go on one way, since the boltholes are offset. If that's the case, I have an oddball truck. My flywheel can go on almost any way. I did not mark the flexplate before I took it off, so I have no idea how it was originally. I just slapped it back on and it fits fine. :icon_bounceblue:
 
No, the 4.0 and the 2.9 and 2.8 as well have a symetrical bolt pattern

The bolt holes will line up any old way.

The only thing to watch out for is on 4.0's ford switched from
a six bolt pattern to an EIGHT bolt pattern about 3/4 of the
way through the 1997 model year..



the 3.0? that has an assymetrical bolt pattern.
