Hey Loud Ranger, I just installed the exact same seats in my '98. In fact I finished the install last night. Overall it was not bad, but thee Explorer seats are not an exact bolt in, at least on my truck I had to enlarge the front bolt holes on both seats to use the Ranger bolts, and had to fabricate a seat belt anchor for the bars that attach the seat belts to the transmission hump. Did you have the same issues? Also, where did you steal power from? I ran a line from the power didtribution box under the hood through an inline fuse and then through the firewall. After that I ran it down under the sill plate and carpe to each seat. The seats are way more comfortable than the stock ones.

for me it was a direct bolt in, fit perfectly. i left the seatbelt track bolted to the floor only removed the front bolt that kept the seat on the slider bar so i just slid the seat off the track and slid the new ones in. i already had the power cloth buckets so i just had to cut the plug off my old seat and solder onto the wires coming from the new seat and it just plugged right in. i didnt know which wire was which, one was black and one was black with a white stripe so i just used the plug to make sure

i love these seats too, best 125 bucks ive ever spent and took maybe an hour to swap

i had to dremel a small part off the top and bottom but it was easy

Nice head unit, makes me want one!

Those seats also look excellent, I think I want them too!

Nice mods...

thanks, im waiting to put my other stereo stuff in till it warms up
