My prayers go out to the people down there. I know AgPete139 was living in Houston. Hopefully he got out of there.

I'm wondering if any other members here are being affected.

I'm just north of Ft. Worth, so I've been tracking this for days.

I'm east of Baytown and it's a lot of water. I'm lucky I'm in the high spot but people in Baytown are in bad shape

Good luck to you. I'd be getting the heck out of there. You're in that area that's getting a lot of rain, and it's suppose to rain there for days!

I can't understand the mayor of Houston telling people to stay put, when the Governor told people days ago to leave Houston. The mayor may have lead people to their doom

Looking at the Hurricane Central site, it looks like this storm has looped around and is heading back in the direction of the Gulf.

I live in Port Arthur and so far we have gotten about 20 inches of rain,they are saying we are in for another 10 plus inches before this storm is over with. Please Pray for Texas and all that are affected by this.

I'm not going down there. People are shooting at rescue boats.

As Harvey continues dumping rain on East Texas and the waters there continue to rise, people are starting to panic, rushing rescue boats and even shooting at them if they don't stop, said one volunteer rescuer.

Clyde Cain, of the Cajun Navy, a Louisiana-based rescue force that gained fame during Hurricane Katrina, said in one instance, a boat broke down, and while the crew sought shelter in a delivery truck, people tried to steal the inoperable boat.

"They're making it difficult for us to rescue them," he said. "You have people rushing the boat. Everyone wants to get in at the same time. They're panicking. Water is rising."

Because of the hostile responses, the Cajun Navy has been forced to halt some rescue attempts, Cain said.
