Just picked up my first Ranger.

A '95 XLT, 2.3L, 2WD

The previous owner warned me of some "electrical issues".

Today I nearly went insane with the newest "electrical issue".

The "dinging sound" that happens when you leave the key in the ignition is now happening ALL THE TIME. At least until I take the key out of the ignition - which doesn't help while I'm driving.

Any clues? Any suggestions? The outside of my ignition will spin 360-degrees around and around. I can make the "dinging sound" happen by finding the "sweet spot" without the key in the ignition.

My wipers also came on today without warning. Hilarious.

unbelievable. I had seen the windshield wiper fix already and was hoping for the same kind of fix for the dome light switch issue! Thanks 4x4junkie!
