my buddy tyler going up the easy way since hes doesn't have lockers.

its amazing how much even a rear locker helps in the rocks and other places like this S curving drainage where it made it easy with barely any tire spin in 2wd!

there were some sick rigs there but unfortunately we diden't catch up to them down on the big rocks until the camera was full.so i don't have pics of the waterfall climbs or hub carnage.a lot of the guys with 50,000$ trucks with LS3's,dynatracs,etc are dick heads but we hung out and helped fix their trucks and drank .i hate trail snobs:flipoff:

theres a small camp ground nearby and its less than 5 miles from town so trips for fluids and junk yard parts are easy.

Looks like you had fun. I agree about the trail snobs. Just cause you can afford to have someone build your rig, or have the money to buy all the latest go better parts, doesn't make you a better person.

yeah i was a little surprised everyone was easy going, the only ass wipes were driving those side by side mule carts:icon_confused:.maybe because they were pissed they spent 12,000$ or more on a overgrown atv?:icon_twisted:

yeah some people call it that but i think cow is the road to the left at the bottom of the hill.the signs up top call it red mountain.
after wheeling with and without the rear locker the difference is amazing, but the constant binding, chirping, and general bad manners makes me want selectables.i'll leave it in until i find better.

You must not be driving it right :icon_confused: I can control when it locks in most every situation. Up hill sharp corners is about the only time you don't have a choice.

the guy who had it before had 38"s.its missing a tooth or two and is very whooped.every time you hit the gas it locks,or let off the gas in compression braking.three point turns, uphill or downhill.the way these work, you apply torque it locks in a hurry.i'm sure having more torque, less weight in the rear, and bigger tires exaggerates the jerking compared to your b2.starting off easy while turning just makes a slow chirp or lots of go pedal and its out sideways smokin and hopping.
nothing new,the guys i know with detroits complain about the same thing.and i know a few guys who got rid of their crap-rights in favor of a slower to lock-unlock detroit or selectables.
you are the resident unofficial defender of the lock-right here on TRS so i'm not surprised you'd say lock-rights are great and have no drawbacks:bsflag:

When did I say they don't have any drawbacks? Of course it's not as brain dead simple to drive as an open diff. It's a wheelin rig, not a caddy. I'm sure the lighter ass end and 4.0 don't help but remember my b2 is shorter, has a way higher COG and is a lot twitchier too, the left driver will sometimes slip under acceleration (Todd owned it and beat on it before I bought it) and when it slips it really jerks this short little B2, mine does it about once a week and yours being used also doesn't help. I just remember hearing about some people saying how bad they are on the road and I got mine in and hardly even noticed it.

its annoying having old ladies scowl at you and cops glare when it chirps but worth it if you wheel often.it would get on my nerves if it was in a pavement pounder though.i just think either full lock or open(selectable) would have better manners.your truck has a higher COG? body lifts usually give a lower cog than suspension lifts but i'de have to agree that pickups handle better after having a lifted 89 b2(2wd P.O.S.).
