Our goal is to provide quality entertainment and do what's in our power to help the off-road industry grow.

I can't tell you enough how valuable The Ranger Station has been to me and the Backyard Fabricator - Project Ranger build up segments.

We also want to make sure we are developing video content that interests everyone. Please let us know what you want to see and we'll get moving on it.

And yes it'll be a great segment on TRS.

one trip to the site and that is an obvious goal, and appreciated by this recreational off road enthusiast and land user that is being denied access by fawktard prudes.

Seems to me the guy has talked to Jim about this so it doesnt look like such a big deal.
Before we boil anybody in oil lets wait for the boss to chime in.

It sounded more to me like, he had a conversation with Jim that was left open-ended. It does not sound like a definitive yes, post on my site answer was given. I would guess Jim wanted to work out a mutually beneficial deal. Not just free advertisement. I dont see anything wrong with him or the site, just seems a little premature the way he explained their conversation.


But I agree, We should wait til Jim has his say before bashing this guy.

I do also feel he should have posted more and made more attempt to be part of the community before pushing his 'dope'

One thing we can all agree on is we are very protective of this site,which I think is awesome.
The way I look at it is Jim wanted this site to be about all of us (not just about him) and what we can contribute to help one another without selling out to major product manufactures with adds between every post witch we have none of like a lot of other sites.
I really dont think this guy is trying to pitch anything and if his site has good info......let it be.

I know Jim is a busy guy and I'm still awaiting a response. We're not here to push a product, just wanted to inform everyone about what we are doing. Jim will do what's best in his eyes and I know both of our sites can benefit from one another. We all see things differently and hopefully you guys enjoy our segments. We thought that TRS audience would be interested in our videos and just wanted to share it.

I used to run Dezert TV. When that folded, I re-group and a year later launched MOTORTREX. We worked hard to get the site up and keep producing content. As far as I can there is no one else out there doing what we are doing for the off-road community.

With all that going on in this world, shouldn't the off-road community band together instead of attacking one and other.

Thanks you to those that enjoyed our content and we look forward to producing the things that interest you guys.

My whole problem is that on your first post you do a commercial, no hello, how are you, to me it's just like one of the lousy telemarketers, that don't even wait for you to say "hello" when you pick up the phone before they start trying to sell you some thing.
If Jim says it's OK, well then it's OK, but I looked at your site, and there is not one thing there for TRS, kind of one way, you want us to go there, but your not helping send people here.

Once we hear back from Jim we'll be using our site to "point" back to TRS.

MOTORTREX use to be DezertTV. I've been in contact with them in the past and expressed an interest to display some of their content, but never did. I don't remember if I couldn't embed the videos, or what the situation was.

Irregardless, they emailed me yesterday but I was tied up with some family business yesterday and today. I'll take a look at it tomorrow (Wednesday).

If you keep track of stuff I post, you'll know that I believe there is a future in online tech videos. I've been saying this for a while now. Online videos is the next big step. Even our favorite shows like Xtreme 4x4 puts their episodes online. That's where the future is.

Personally, I wish we could produce the ultimate Ford Ranger TV Station, The Ranger Station! (You had to of seen that coming...LOL).

Seriously, Now that I have a decent size shop it would be cool to produce our own RBV related web show. To many great ideas and a lack of the right people to help execute them.

JIm I fully understand and believe in TRS. I think the whole idea is awesome, I think the most of us were just worried that someone took a passing conversation with you and ran with it farther than intended. No vendor status, no business status, nothing. Just a random post.


BUt if your into it, then more power to him. Im all for it. As long as we see some cool results for the ranger community.


Also i do think their should be more videos of builds and wheeling etc.
