The autumn years of the ICE should be the golden years for the ICE.

I would not bet on it.

I have a hard time seeing ICE replaced in next 20 year for farm machinery - so power intensive.

If you think combine fires are sporty now wait until they cram enough lipos in one to run a combine and they light up...

Nobody seems to know how to make the juice to run the stupid things. We are getting overran with these POS windmills that plug our roads and have to be buried when they go bad. Solar is the same story.

Get out of here with those cold hard facts

Maybe....maybe not. But ill gurantee youll never see my ass in one.

I don't know, won't be too long before we have Electric Hearses :)
Your kids may get you in one yet
You better put it in your will, NO EVs at my funeral!!

Horses were great but ICE was better

ICE is great but EVs are better

K. I've kept quiet because EVs are a meme.

But ima rant now and probably p*ss some people off.

If I do p*ss you off, just remember, I still love you. 😬

Here's the purchase economics of it:

You are unironically stupid of you're paying six figures for a vehicle. I am unapologetic about this.

Oh but you paid six figures for the ChevFerd Truckmaster 9000? Or for the LamboFerri XJPSOSHRYJSK5ABDH? Or the PenisCompensatorStatusSymbol IIVI? Congratulations. You're stupid. Really, really stupid. No amount of cope or justification will change my opinion. If you're paying six figures for a new vehicle, you are stupid.

Nobody born after 1990 can, or will ever be able to afford a house, let alone a six figure memewagen. So, forget young people buying even the base model. Not happening at $15/hr.

Meme. Luxury meme. But still a meme.

Oh, and if you want to drive something that can be hacked that's cool. I know enough about coding and networking to know that if someone wants you dead in one of those, you're going to be dead, and it's going to look like a glitch or an accident. All of my shit lacks connectivity and has a clutch for a reason. Trusting networked technology that has the power to kill you is stupid. Really, really stupid.

Environmental impact? Tell that to a child laborer digging lithium, copper, and cobalt out of the ground right now in a third world sh*thole. Theyre not environmentally friendly. The impact just isn't here, it's somewhere else. So, the aesthetics look environmentally friendly. That's not the truth. The truth is that you're feeding the Chinese mining industry that's exploiting third world labor globally.

But then again, if you own an EV, you're probably shopping Walmart and Amazon anyways, so third world and slave labor doesn't really matter to you. K. Point taken.

Stupid. A meme. And good marketing.

And.... little else.

If you doubt me, just remember that the federal government is pushing these sh*tboxes like crazy. And they never **** anything up. Ever.

My second eldest born in 91 owns a house and businesses..makes double to triple what I have ever made...and her house is worth at least 200k more then mine..our oldest was born in 89.... owns a house...but not fitting post 90....

The younger of those two Prefers a GTR or lambo...or her hot rod Cadillac over anything electric.

I am glad they got rid of the GTR.....

And will be nervous when she picks up a Lambo. And for an eventual commuter....I can see an electric eventually....but she got hit in her new cadi and it needed some work....they gave her the state of the art e ride for a loaner. She run out of power and had no way to rapid charge at the house and made them come and get it....and told them to choke on a bag of cawgs and bring an escalade loaner...

So...the future will have resistance.

Little bob regularly drives that POS bronco I just got out of...

No radio.

Manual trans.

Drum brakes.

Irok tires.

32 yr old plastic headlights...

Prefers motorcycles.

So....

Good luck telling him he needs anti lock brakes and a computer to roll down a window.

Thats 2 of the 5...

I am used to being out numbered concerning electric cars....the rest don't like them either

Don't hold back PJ, tell it like you THINK it is, lol

ICE cars were for the RICH ONLY when they were first coming out

Henry Ford built a VERY basic ICE which got the prices down, still expensive but "things changed, always do"

I would say that is how it is.

Especially the hacking.

Well after over 100 years we are still waiting for an affordable electric car.

Not that gas powered techo wonders are necessarily affordable anymore either.

Says the guy who wrote this post on either a laptop or a mobile phone, with a battery, that sourced materials for said battery from................

The same <censored> place that the raw materials for an electric car battery came from.

Do lithium mines use child labour? I'm not about to dispute that fact. In fact, I did some fact checking a few weeks ago, and that fact was NOT disputed by the site I checked. HOWEVER, the site that I checked points out that All Lithium-Ion batteries get their Lithium (and other raw materials) from the same place as the battery found in an electric car.

You might wanna try a different argument.
