That cleaned up nicely. If I switch to 15s, will be running LT215/75r15 mudders…

The ones I got aren't quite that aggressive looking. They are General Grabber AT/X but still suited for a 4WD rather than a regular pickup.
I just hope that they look stupid on this truck

As long as the size is appropriate, those should look fine on a 2wd truck. IDK why it reminds me of the Goodyear Wrangler Radial that was on almost every truck in town when I was in high school.

Finally wrapped up with new tires, wheels, lug nuts and hub caps. I think the tire choice worked pretty well, I'm comfortable with this. I think I would like it better if the sidewall didn't have those treads molded in, but overall I'm pleased with the outcome. these tires are also surprisingly well-behaved and quiet. Not sure if they will stay that way, but right now the way they are is just about the sweet spot. Went from 14" wheels to 15's, and the tire is a little over 1/2 inch taller so speedo will remain pretty much accurate (close enough anyway), and the 4-banger isn't struggling anymore than it always did. I'm also pretty pleased with the wheel color. It's more of a radio-grey type of shade now instead of the original spun aluminum look. It seems to work pretty well. The guys at the tire shop were all gawking at it and trying to buy it, so I think it turned out pretty well overall.

Thanks man, it's certainly a labor of love. I refuse to even sit down and add up how much money and time I've put into this trap, but it's totally worth it now that it's (mostly) done. I'm pretty sure I have an input shaft bearing going out in the old M5, but it's stayin that way until it chucks itself... I don't beat on it, so it should be ok for some time. I'm patiently watching for a good rebuild candidate that I can afford so I can start on that and be ready for when this one goes (if it ever does). I'd also like to swap in a Trak-Loc carrier one day for better snow performance, but that's just "nice-to-have" list items that I'm not in a big hurry to jump on. I'll just watch the market for a good buying opportunity and work that angle.
