Not sure where that came from...but I think it was the hype that smoking was a gateway drug to narcotics and "pushers" would lure kids into their network by spiking cigarettes...

But you know how Moms are...always trying to protect their kids from the dangers of growing up in a crowded hen house...

Thanks, Mom!!! Happy Mother's Day to our mom's. Thanks for teaching me to cook and do the laundry (which I still do). Thanks for teaching me about caring for people and animals. Thanks for being there when I really needed somebody on those scary rainy nights when we were little kids. Thanks for all you have done for all of us in your lifetime.
