Voting is a civic duty. If you enjoy the fruits and labor of a free nation, and honor those who have died to keep it that way, voting is your duty to insure the same for the next generations as the prior generation did for you.
Being a "proud non-voter" is not good. How can you be "proud" of not doing your civic duty?
Everyone speaks of the government as being some foreign entity. The government is US, all of us. Being proud of your country is fine, but you have to insure you still have a country for the pride to have any meaning. If you don't like those serving in government, there is only one way to change it...voting.

You mean 1996?I've voted in every election since 1986 except one. That was a gubernatorial election and we got jessie ventura. I won't make that mistake again.
