Hey everyone!

It's hard to believe that The Ranger Station is 15-years old. :icon_twisted:

So much has changed since I came up with the idea for TRS back in 1998. We were kicking for at least a year before I added a forum link to the site, but TRS has ALWAYS been more than just a forum.

The technology has changed, the internet has changed, and the truck mods continue to get sicker every year.

I've met, wheeled with, and hung out with some great people over the years that are now my friends.

TRS has also brought many enthusiasts together, and we're the only online community to move a banner from sea to shining sea.

TRS is always growing and on the move, but it wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for the members who contribute to the site, and the staff that helps oversee it.

TRS also wouldn't have lasted this long if it wasn't for the Premium Members and their paid subscriptions, and the members who have shown their support buying TRS stickers (I've sent TRS stickers around the globe). At times throughout the years when I thought I wouldn't be able to afford to host the site any longer, those contributions kept us going.

What's New:

As I said, TRS is always growing. If you've been through the tech Library, you've seen a change in the look and format. The new format allows me to update the look of the site with a single page, without having to change each and every one. There is also a button at the bottom to encourage readers to submit new content. I should have all the updating done by spring.

If you haven't looked at the home page, you should. The home page will now contain 'Featured Rides', Ranger related news articles, TOTM, and more. It's a responsive design, so it will adjust to whatever device you're viewing it with. Watch for some upcoming things there that will help you when you're on the go.

Speaking of TOTM, we have decided to keep separate TOTM categories, and will be renaming 'Street Truck Of The Month' to 'Mini Truck Of The Month'

Other things we have going on include facebook and Pinterest, and we still need someone on staff to help with the Pinterest.

Thanks Again!

Thanks again for a great 15-years as THE Premier Ford Ranger Resource. I look forward to the future, the people I'll meet, and the trips yet to come.

Edit: Oh ya, look below:

That new spot allows us to remind you guys about things such as the Banner and TOTM so we can keep them active. Don't forget to get involved!!

Jim,

Thanks for operating this awesome site for the last 15 years! It has been invaluable to me in my endeavors and I have learned so much from the community here. I look forward to many many years to come!

I for sure see alot of builds on this site unlike any other sites builds. Also I see trs referred to for the articles written more than any other forum.

15 More... (then some)... Let's do it! I love this place.

thanks for keeping this site alive!!!! I have been here during ownership of both rangers I have owned.... lots of good info to be found here..I also go on other ranger forums, but this one is my favorite .... this one inspired me to build the rustbucket rat, my 90 longbed ranger...my k5 blazer is done, now its the rangers turn for repairs and more modifications

No thank you Jim. I know you have had some upheavals in your life, and to keep this place going through all of them is something to be commended for.

Thanks for the site and slogging through losing the entire forums (2007, I joined in July or August right before the forums crashed, came back a few weeks later and everything was changed. kind of a weird feeling and then having to re-register. I thought you might have kicked me because of inactivity lol), and 15 years of Ranger changes and mods

I am proud to be a part of TRS for almost half of its life.

AJ

Yes, thanks Jim...I've probably been around for at least 12 of those years...or more...but I've recommended this site to many people...and ALL of my friends...both of them...but who needs friends when you have TRS!

Been a smooth ride for most of those years thanks to your caring and probably many sleepless nights...

i do visit other forums, but this is by far the best and my favorite, and on occasion i will answer someones question elsewhere with a link to trs, and ive seen trs mentioned in other forums as well, just saw a referance to trs not long ago in a magazine i got. (think it was "four wheeler") hope ford brings back the ranger someday, if not i'll keep rebuilding mine...or upgrade to a '97. lol

Heh, 15 years ago I wasn't even old enough to drive.

In fact, 15 years ago my truck was still my dad's truck. It hadn't even been put in mothballs yet.

No thank you Jim. I know you have had some upheavals in your life, and to keep this place going through all of them is something to be commended for.

:black_eye: Ya, in 2005 I just wanted to crawl in a hole and pull the dirt in on top of me.

+1

Although I'm not sure my parents would agree, not sure they liked all the trucks that started following me home after I found the site here, lol. But I have a driveway of my own now so no worries!

Thank you! This site is FAWESOME! BTW, after Wednesday somebody remind me to get that premium membership....

Gotta wait on another check.

Glad to have been a part of this community for the last 5 years. It's been a blast and things have changed a bunch even in the time I've been here. The 93 is here to stay so I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.

Happy 15!!! I bought my '99 Ranger in July off '99 brand new. 15 years has gone by so fast!!! My Ranger still looks good!!! This site still looks good!!!
