Isn't it ironic that foreign manufacturers have found it more practical to build cars here, yet our own manufacturers that are headquartered here see it to be better to build overseas?![]()
There are more forgien cars that are imported than domestic cars that are imported.
There is some goofy tax deal that pretty much keeps imported trucks out too.
Domestic companies buy parts that are made overseas, which isn't entirely their fault because that is where the companies moved to.
We had a factory here in town that made seat parts for the Chrysler family of cars, the company built a new plant in Mexico and killed this one. It wasn't owned by Chrysler or anything, just an independant company.
