I like it AND hate it all at once. It does have too much of a "bling" look to it. I just can't wait to see someone lift one and stuff some 35 inch super swampers under it.
It's a concept people.
It means Ford is thinking about the Rangers future in a positive way. (that is good)
Imagine it without the autoshow glitz & a usable bed, then it is not much different from what we have now.
doesn't change the fact that it is ugly and has too much plastic on it to be an off roader. you wold spend in the mid to high 20's for it, then have to remove 10,000 dollars of plastic from it before you could start modding it.
i like it. would take that plastic avalanche bullshit off the bed. look allot better. someone thats good with photo shop take the crap off and post the pic.
DEAR GOD People! Its just a concept! not even, its just a digital rendering of a concept! and will probably in no way have plastic on it (seriously, PLASTIC BED?), not reall tires just show tires, there are no brakes and axles, its a model even the fuel door is obviously just drawn on.
BTW it will probably see fords new twin turbo engines! almost all ford v8s will have tt v6s and v6s will be v6s or I4 tt's to meet the new emissions standards and fuel economy! Way to show some enthusiasum FORD!
A year ago a forum member found a website to make suggestions to Ford for changes to future vehicles. Ford already nixed having a manual T-case. They also said manual hubs are out of the question. Here's the thread http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6596
