Thailand Ranger concept

i dosnt look like it can take abuse, as if asthetic things will break easily destroying the 75% road, 25% off road many people enjoy with their rangers. that 25% off-road would beat its ass and make it look liks crap. like i said AWD would not surprise me.

Ranger Max

Man I wish you guys could restrain yourselves from the poop and urine comments when you talk about stuff - that's sort of 5th grade. It just detracts from whatever your main point is . . .

Ranger Max - I like the front. Guess the non-funtional hood holes are OK. The fenerflares are kinda weird - sorta looks like the moved the bolt holes from the mounting points out to the edges. Looks like something that would create wind noise. Generally, though it is a very cool looking truck.

I'm not going to buy it if it is a uni-body. I'll keep my current Ranger till the haul my body to the morgue in it - but I've got to replace the Taurus with something eventually.

i wonder what would happen the first time i bounce it off a tree? i anticipate there would be fiberglass and plastic flying ever were.....

I am not quite sold on it yet, but it does look like a newer more aggresive style to attract more buyers, and I see a lot of potential for some really nice looking rides coming out of that design. back in 92 when I first saw a 93 ranger, all I heard was how terrible it looked, and how it would never sell, although I was only 14 so I didn't get to talk to many people.

it kinda looks like a honda ridgeline, only a little bit cool. but it's doesn't look like a truck. put a regular box on it without all the plastic on it and it might be pretty cool. pretty busy though

You all know this is just a computer design not an actual model they built right so it still has some touching up to do, (hood scoop might actually function, probably really gonna be made of metal, probably make it look more utility) I mean the 93 and up rangers look more like it compared to my truck (boxy metal toughness) but your trucks are just as tough as mine with updates to the body, what makes this any different? Its just the concept right? how many of the concept cars actually made it into production without simplifying it in a million ways to where it only slightly resembles the concept in the first place?

I for one think it is different and very unique, you might not get it but I would cause it still looks pretty agressive and I will have a good project 84 ranger to work on.

Cheers for being different! Otherwise we would live in a very dull world.:icon_cheers:

well lets see that thing is a consept...once it hit the american market...we would turn it into a real truck....hell i would drive it the way its now....but stick a mild lift and some 35s and a winch bumber front and back!!!!hell ya....at least it looks better than the ugly SD and the new 150s....if i can see my self driving it...it is a green light for me

hell lets all SAS that sun of a bitch!

Im with stegomon, my first thought was solid axle swap. So long as it had a full frame, and at least the good ole 4.0, I would rock it. Everything else is just a sawz-all away from it being what I want or need it to be.

the front of it looks like a land rover a little.
but other than that i like it.

Could look cool with a lift. that pretty much goes for all rangers. overall the body lines are very bland and I see some hints of toyota in the front end. the only thing that really grabs my attention is the gear looking fender flares but they don't really complement the rest of the body. Overall I think ford took the conservative approach on this one and made it look like todays generic suv.

love the 4 wheel slicks..lol.

It's a bit on the flashy side for me. And falls right in line why I will likely never buy a new car. Too much extra junk that will just get in the way and I'll never use/need and just make things a bajillion times more expensive.

If you could get a model thats toned down enough with a diesel 4cyl, manual transmission, manual transfercase, and a standard cab. I might consider he possibility of buying one. It'd have to be on the pretty good deal side of things too.

I dont know if this was mentioned but look at those tires, completely street, even drag like. Good luck in mud or snow with those
And the avalanche-ish bed to cab transition is just nasty.

absolutely ridiculous
