So im still trying to nail out my prblems...
and im posting the Smog outputs in my other thread becuase ill be at my truck today and will have them availible...

I picked up a couple ECT's at the local pick n pull

i noticed browsing through the wiring diag that ALOT of things run off ECT
So i was gonna test/replace mine becuase i have it. its easy and free. and it would help knowing that my ect is working...

Now when i was able to it said ECT out of range on my odb tested to see if its getting 5v from the computer and it is so no other option but to test the ECT how do you go about doing so? Whats the method?

Im truly retarted!
Thanks fastpakr...

I totally forgot about that link...

Pretty good chance its not my ECT then? after that read?
I know i need to flush my radiator but i cant becuase i need to have my truck at a constant idle before doing so.... or atleast id like to... i have everything ready to go for an oil change and radiator flush just trying to get my idle kink worked out!

I forgot to mention it will also set this code if it is not in the operating range ford wanted it in when pulling codes.
